Health Centre Eliminates Ongoing Cold Chain Incidents for Vaccine Storage

Case Study: The TempArmour™ Vaccine Refrigerator Spared this Health Centre from Ongoing Cold Chain Incidents Due to Inconsistent Office Temperatures.

Our customer in rural Ontario is located in an older renovated building. In the winter, the room temperatures in their Health Clinic fluctuate significantly, which was impacting the internal temperature of the vaccine refrigerator that they were using. The vaccine fridge temperatures went outside of the critical 2-8⁰C (35-46°F) range frequently, and consequently spoiled vaccines had to be disposed of on several occasions.

Besides the cost of new vaccines, this state of affairs was disruptive to the operation of the office and patient care. As the clinic is located in a rural area, the vaccines could only be replaced monthly, and significant resources were being used to reschedule appointments.
