QUALITY IS #1
We believe in using high quality, durable components and design elements to produce reliable vaccine refrigeration that minimizes the need for repairs and technical support.
Quality control testing on every refrigerator and freezer is also a key contributor to ensuring consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
CHEST REFRIGERATOR DESIGN (TOP OPENING)
Advantages of a Chest Design for Vaccine Storage (vs. upright/front opening configuration):
The chest design is an important design element of TempArmour™ Refrigerators and freezers that contributes to its exceptional performance and ability to avoid many of the issues commonly associated with vaccine refrigeration.
Temperatures stay stable longer when door opened
The chest configuration protects against the temperature quickly spiking out of range when the top door of the chest refrigerator or freezer is opened. This allows enough time to carefully find and retrieve the correct vaccine.
Effective Door Insulation
With enough time in temperature range to safely retrieve vaccines, a glass door is not necessary which allows even the door to be very well insulated.
The chest configuration also eliminates "door ajar" issues which is one of the main causes of vaccine losses.
I have never seen a chest style vaccine refrigerator before. Is a chest style refrigerator effective and safe for vaccine storage?
Yes. Refrigerators with a chest design have been used to store vaccines for many years in Countries around the world. In fact, the World Health Organization (WHO) has supported the use of chest refrigerators for vaccine storage for many years.
PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL (PCM) TECHNOLOGY
Another component that enhances the performance of TempArmour™ vaccine refrigerators and freezers is the incorporation of Phase Change Material (PCM) Technology.
The Phase Change Material that lines TempArmour™ Refrigerators and Freezers:
Contributes to excellent temperature stability within the TempArmour™ Refrigerators/freezers
Contributes to the typical 6 day holdover time of the TempArmour™ BFRV84 Refrigerator (the freezer has a typical 4 day holdover)
Eliminates potential for freezing issues (refrigerator)
The Phase Change Material (PCM) incorporated into the TempArmour™ Refrigerators solidifies at about 4°C (39°F) which ensures that any vaccines in close proximity to the sides are well within the required temperature range.
Eliminates the need for water bottles
The PCM liner eliminates the need for adding water bottles (for thermal mass) to the TempArmour™ Refrigerator as it provides the same effect, but much more effectively.
The TempArmour™ Vaccine Refrigerator is a Purpose-built Vaccine Storage Unit.
